How we picked these hotels
Every hotel on this list has a strong star rating according to its own listing. We ranked them first by star rating, then by guest rating, and placed hotels with ratings from very few reviews lower. The result is a straightforward ordering based on the official star classification and the aggregate guest score shown for each property. Where two hotels share a star rating, the guest rating decides the order; where review numbers are thin, the hotel drops down even if its score is high. This keeps the list honest and easy to understand.
Tips for hotels stays in Segovia
Book well ahead for weekends and public holidays, when Segovia fills with visitors from Madrid and the best-rated hotels are the first to go.
If you arrive by train, check how you will reach the hotel: the station is outside the city, and the historic centre is best explored on foot once you are there.
Pack comfortable shoes for cobbled streets and steep lanes; many hotels sit in pedestrian areas where cars cannot go right to the door.
Ask the hotel directly about parking if you drive, as space in the old town is limited and some properties have arrangements with nearby garages.
Look beyond the star rating when choosing: a small hotel with a high guest score may suit you better than a larger one with more facilities but a lower rating.
